After School Connection

After School Connection

There is hardly enough time on Wednesdays to pick up your child from school, eat dinner, do homework, and make it to church. We understand this struggle and want to meet families at their point of need. On Wednesdays during the school year, we pick up kids & teens from school in our church van and/or bus. They will be transported to our Family Life Center where they can play games in our gymnasium, hang out with friends, and work on schoolwork. Parents of elementary kids riding the church van/bus must contact the school and give permission for us to pick up their child/children.

Kids & teens do not have to be picked up from school in order to participate in the after-school connection. They can be dropped off at the Family Life Center anytime after 4:30pm.

The After School Connection in the Family Life Center begins at 4:30pm.  There is a meal at for kids & teens at 6pm. At 6:20pm, 6th grade and under will be moved to the Main church for Kid Connect Bible study.  Grades 7-12 will remain in the FLC and attend Oasis Youth.

The Kid Connect Bible Study is led by our Children’s Director Loren Tiner.

Oasis Youth is led by our Student/Worship Pastor, Drew Tiner.

Family/Lake Day 2025

On July 27th, we will host a Family Day at Perryville First Baptist Church. During the worship service, we will invite kids to help us lead a song from a past VBS called My Lighthouse.

Immediately following the worship service (around noon), Hamburgers, hotdogs, and water will be served in our family life center where you can enjoy lunch in the A/C. After lunch, we will head out to Lake Sylvia for an afternoon at the lake. Activities include swimming, fishing, a playground, and hiking trails.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing chairs, swimming gear for your kids including life vests, sunscreen, bug spray, fishing pole if needed, and anything else you need. Keep in mind, kids under 16 can fish without a license but all other fishers must have a valid fishing license.

At Perryville FBC, we are seeking to connect with families in our community and surrounding areas because we believe that family is important. We hope to see you on Sunday July 27th, 2025.
